Why take a trip to the theatre in London?
Friday, May 28th, 2010To most people the chance to visit London usually revolves around shopping in the centre of the city. This is of course a fine way to spend you time in the city if you love to shop, but I often think that you can shop in any part of the country – why not do something that can’t quite be replicated where you come from?
Whenever I visit London I like to visit the theatre. Of course my home town has a theatre too – but there is nothing quite like visiting the theatre in London, it is a different experience entirely. There is so much history associated with theatre in London and you can feel that whenever you enter any of the grand old buildings.
At the moment I am gearing myself up for the release of Wizard of Oz tickets. This show opens in March of next year and looks like it is going to be absolutely fabulous! I have heard some people saying that it could be even more successful than ‘Cats’ at the box office, which is why I am going to book my tickets as soon as I have the money.
To see a play of this calibre at any location is a wonderful opportunity, but to be able to watch this at London’s West End is really what it is all about. I would have no hesitation in recommending people make the journey from wherever they are in the country to make sure they don’t miss this great event.
