What to do in Paris
For me, Paris is not the sort of place to visit if you need to have a definitive plane every day. It is the sort of place where you wander around, finding new places to enjoy. On my last trip to #paris I want to see Sacre Coeur for the first time, and found it slightly underwhelming to be honest. Once you have visited Notre Dame Cathedral, and seen the thirteen tonne bell in action, anything else, no matter how beautifully designed, just seems a bit weak!
I personally could spend a good week or so mooching about the streets of the /left Bank, finding endless coffee shops and patisseries to try. The coffee in Paris is like nowhere else I have drunk the stuff, and that includes Milan. I don’t know whether it is the coffee itself or just the general ambience of the area which makes it such an experience, but whichever it is, it just can’t be beaten.
The one thing that I will always do when I go to Paris, though, is to go and visit the Louvre. It doesn’t matter how many times I enter that building, when I look up at the Mona Lisa I get shivers right down my spine. Maybe it’s because I had heard so much about the painting before I ever saw it in the flesh, but there is something so beguiling about it that I could literally just stare up at that portrait all day.
It is great to visit because you can always find cheap hotels in Paris and you never have to pay too much to do the things you want to do here either. Whatever you want to do, just take your time! Paris should be sipped, not downed!
